Wayne was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on May 19, 1943.
As an accomplished sculptor in Manitoba, he created a number
of projects
that remain a lasting memorial to both his clients and the artist
himself. Key among them are the "Caring Hands" at Winnipeg's
Deer Lodge
Centre (limestone), an aboriginal hunting scene at the Forks
National
Historic Site (limestone) in downtown Winnipeg, and town monuments
- the Petersfield Mallard, Meleb Mushrooms and Poplarfield King
Buck.
Many
small pieces are housed in private collections.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Wayne passed away on November
30, 1999 at Selkirk & District General Hospital.
