How To Cut A Perfect Circle In Fabric?

To determine the size of your circle, draw a circumference around it with measuring tape. Mark the line around the circumference with a straight edge ruler or yardstick and cut along it.

Your new window curtain will be just right.

To make sure your circle is the correct size, measure its circumference using a measuring tape. Mark a line around the circumference of the circle with a straight edge ruler or yardstick.

Cut along the marked line to create your custom sheer curtain ring.

Determine Size of Circle

To determine the size of your circle, measure the diameter of a round object that will fit inside the fabric without stretching. For example, if you are making a small circular tablecloth, use an apple as your guide.

If you are making a large curtain or quilt, round up to the nearest inch.

Draw Circumference Around Circle with Measuring Tape

Cut Along Drawn Line

Cut the fabric so that it is even with the drawn line and then cut it by 2 inches on each side of the line. Use a rotary cutter or scissors to make a clean, straight cut.

Hold onto one end of the fabric while you guide the other end around the shape you want to create and pull tight. Repeat until your circle is complete. Trim any excess fabric before sewing together edges
